Herotron operates two electron accelerators (10 MEV and 20 MEV), a one-of-a-kind sorting machine and a Hi-Res Gamma Spectrometer.
Besides color enhancement of gemstones Herotron's capabilities also include other industrial applications such as:
- polymer modification, like cross linking or degradation
- enhancement of semiconductors and gemstones
- radiation curing of high performance polymer compound materials
- bioreduction and sterilization of medical devices and packing material
